Common Complications with Face Lift Surgery, What might the complications be? Well, as with any surgery a face lift can have a bleeding problem under the skin which is called a hematoma.
The hematoma will cause a swelling on one side of the face, and that can run the risk of infection. So, one gets a hematoma they need to be drained within a day or two of surgery.
That can sometimes be done just with a needle and a syringe. But, occasionally a stitch has to be removed to squeeze out the blood clot under the skin so that it doesn’t get infected.
That it doesn’t fibrosis and form a hard knot.
