POTS is a condition where the autonomic nervous system which is the system that controls many bodily functions in an autonomous way is not working properly.
This could be due to a variety of reasons. Some of which can be as a result of infection, some of which could be related to hormonal imbalances or it can be associated with diabetes.
The majority of people with POTS will not have a clear reason why they’re experiencing the symptoms, but very often they will feel very tired and the symptoms will be brought about generally by changing position so they will be very well when they’re lying down in bed and as soon as they stand they will feel their heart pounding and racing in the chest.
They will feel dizzy and unable to think properly. They will also feel shaky and generally unwell.
